Tool to find CPU/processor details

CrystalCPUID is an windows application that displays core speed in real time. It also shows some important processor details like prosessor manufacturing technology, platform, system clock, clock multiplier, L1,L2 and L3 cache memory size, supported instruction sets, power saving features built into the processor, hardware virtulization support etc.

It can be used to increase CPU frequency by changing clock multiplier if the CPU has an unlocked multiplier. Most processors higher end processors have unlocked clock multiplier. CPU can also be overclocked by increasing the system clock.
CPU clock = System clock x multiplier
System bus = System clock x 4 (for quad-data rate bus in Intel processors)

CrystalCPUID also displays BIOS information, motherboard manufacturer details and chip-set information (northbridge, southbridge, graphics chip). It also provides Enhanced Speed Step control on supported processors. CrystalCPUID can be downloaded freely form its website.
